Three ways to bring content in

01 · BASIC

Ordinary copy and paste

When the clipboard contains structured HTML, headings, lists, links, and tables are converted to Markdown. Plain-text-only sources are pasted unchanged.

02 · SELECTION

Quick Send a selection

The selected HTML structure is rebuilt as Markdown—including headings, lists, links, tables, quotes, and code—then saved as `.md` or opened in the editor.

03 · PAGE BODY

Bring in the current page body

The readable body is rebuilt for editing in MD.SAVE while common navigation, ads, cookie notices, forms, and sharing controls are removed.

How to use it

  1. Install MD.SAVE Quick Send from the Chrome Web Store.
  2. Select useful content, then use the right-click menu to save it as `.md` or edit it in MD.SAVE.
  3. For a whole article, open the extension popup and choose Edit page body in MD.SAVE.
Install from the Chrome Web Store

For desktop Chrome. The default shortcut is Option/Alt + Shift + M and can be changed in Chrome settings.

Local processing and limits

The extension handles only the content you request from the current tab after you press an action. It has no always-on access to every site, account, analytics, or advertising code.

Rendered HTML is reconstructed into semantically useful GFM; it cannot recover an unavailable original `.md` source. PDFs, canvas content, closed Shadow DOM, iframes, content not yet loaded, and restricted Chrome pages may be limited.
